Would I be wrong if I were to say that Opel cars are the "European GMs", but mostly Chevys?

If I remember correctly, GM works with Opel and Vauxhall in the U.K. and Holden in Australia.

That would make sense. The cars usually resemble a lot. Is it a little like Ford Ranger and Toyota B-series? Or the Toyota Cavalier in Asia?

Yup, ford part owned Mazda at one point, and GM and Toyota worked together in the 1990s to 2000s
