The Bus Stop

This was one of many bus stops between Nashville and Knoxville Tennessee during the 1920's till the mid-1960's. The advent of Interstate Highways, more automobiles and more people preferring to fly, slowly doomed the rural bus stop. There are only a few bus stops between Nashville and Knoxville now, where there used to be one in every small town and at most major crossroads.
